About Us

Vivid Chromatics started out as a conversation between myself and my husband at the end of 2013. I wanted to branch out on my own but still being so fresh in the industry didn't have the means, skillset or knowledge on how to open a large salon. I researched and landed on Sola Salon Studios in the pearl district of Portland. I opened February 2014 and hit the ground running. I was there for just short of 4 years. It was a great atmosphere and I met a lot of industry people along the way.

 

In 2015 I became an educator with Peter Coppola and traveled all around the US doing hair shows, salon classes and photoshoots for the product line. I enjoy educating and feel it is a huge part of continuing in this industry. After leaving sola I continued my hair services in Milwaukie at a salon with 8 chairs. After 2 years of being at that salon I felt the need to put together my own salon team and I began looking for commercial space.

 

In 2019 Vivid Chromatics expanded from being just me a one chair stylist to a 8 chair salon and esthetician studio in Southeast Portland. The building has amazing aesthetics and the mural on the east facing side makes for an amazing Instagram post. Currently the salon is full of stylists who are hard working, caring, open minded and laid back. We have an awesome sugarista killing it in the hair removal department and a kickass nail artist.

 

I can't believe that my dream of owning my own salon and filling it with amazing talent has come true and stayed alive during one of the hardest years for most.
